ONCE UPON A TIME
I was a Music Therapist working for a corporate hospital system and then in private practice. It felt like a dream. Until it... wasn't.
It was not an easy path getting my degrees. My children were 2-5 when I went to college and my marriage was a roller coaster. Despite that, I made it, and went on to work for a community hospice program for 10 years as a Music Therapist. While doing the honorable job of singing and playing music and helping hospice patients and families with their end-of-life goal. It was such a fulfilling job and I knew I was appreciated. My marriage ended, and I later remarried. Then, I had a tug on my heart to start working with children and adults with disabilities in private practice. Let me just say, that was an amazing, fun ride! I loved operating the business. I was proud of what I built, but then, another tug on my heart strings needed focus. It was my family. There were some intense situations that I needed to focus on. I knew it was time to close the doors and turn my attention elsewhere. I had "retired" from music therapy.
Then I found my next purpose, helping people find their dream home, DIYing and raising my granddaughter.

Jody started life out as a customer service rep, had a career in music therapy and is now a Real Estate Agent and Airbnb Host. She's a life style blogger who swears she is not as busy as everyone says. She hopes to be known for bringing a level of empowerment into others' lives.
