I recently made this delicious dessert for my family. See the photo of how it turned out below. I just love baking even though my waistline doesn’t always like it. Tartlets are so gosh-darn cute, and they are perfect for springtime. These are also perfect for that time of year when your berries are ripe and ready to pick. It’s great to have some recipes handy when fresh berries are available!
Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
PASTRY CREAM
1-1/4 c whole milk
6 T granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
CRUST
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 honey
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
BERRY TOPPING
2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Package (6 ounces) Driscoll’s Blackberries
1 Package (6 ounces) Driscoll’s Blueberries
1 Package (6 ounces) Driscoll’s Raspberries
My Berry Tarts tasted fabulous, but I didn’t have tart pans, so I had to improvise with a cupcake/muffin pan.
